Studying never costs credits

Reviews, writing, handwriting, importing, highlighting and cloud sync are unmetered on every plan, free included. Credits are spent only when a model does work for you.

Upgrading is the better deal

Credits per dollar rise with each tier, so if you are topping up regularly the next plan up is cheaper than the packs. That is deliberate, not a trap.

Ran out before the month did?

Top-up packs are one-off and never expire while your plan is active. They are priced slightly worse per credit than a subscription on purpose: if you are buying two a month, moving up a tier costs you less.
